A party for pizza
I realize that by putting this on the web I run the risk of getting completely overrun by guests, but I won’t find out unless I try, so here goes. Pictured above is our first summer pizza night of the ‘09 season, an annual event now in its third year. Every Tuesday from when school gets out in June to when the kids go back in August, we invite friends, family and the general public over for a casual wood fired pizza dinner. Far from a restaurant style pizza night, this is a hands on, guest led affair. We provide crusts, the oven, a baker, and some instruction, while guests bring toppings, make their own pizza, and bring their own drinks and any other amenities they want. (We do provide a pot of sauce and a bowl of cheese to get things started so that the first person through the line isn’t stuck with a plain zucchini flat bread) We ask for a donation of at least $3.00 per pizza which covers our costs. All profits above our costs are donated to a local non profit or other deserving group so we encourage people to give generously. Since the crust is made in advance, it is very helpful to have prior notice from people planning to attend. An email no later than Monday morning is the best time since we weigh out and mix the dough on Monday. Email noah@orchardhillbreadworks.com
Pizza night begins at 6p, but is a fair weather event, so in case of rain will be delayed or cancelled.
For those who don’t like to read through a whole paragraph for details, here they are in list form:

More details about the logistics are waiting when you get here. We hope to see you some time this summer.
